Another New Begining

Flowerpaw nodded and understood that, even when she was gifted, she knew she had much to learn when she dashed off to get the named herbs.

Leafpelt nodded in satisfaction. "I will definately need her help when I am very old." She mewed.

Flowerpaw brought back the herbs.

Mousewhisker carefuly walked to Whitestar, he carried four small kits. "These, erm, I...found them by the twoleg place." He lied. "I named them, Spiderkit, Dapplekit, Lightkit and Poppykit."

Leafpelt took the herbs for Honeykit's ear. "Now watch closely. First, check for infection. If there is green puss oozing out of it stinks, its infected, but thats not the case this time. Then, chew the marigold into a pulp." Leafpelt mewed, demonstrating slowly. "Then spit it onfto deh fwound and rub it." She said, spitting it out. "And when its covered the whole wound, put cobwebs onto it." She meowed at last, spreding cobwebs over Honeykit's ear.

Honeykit purred. "Thank you." She mewed.

WhiteStar nodded "More kits!" she meowed happily.

Sheepfur appeared next to Whitestar. "Whitestar, Blazeshadow and I are dead, I'm sorry for your loss."
Spiderkit wailed.

Leafpelt purred. She looked down at Spiderkit. "Hush little one." She mewed warmly.

Spiderkit stumbly walked to Leafpelt.
Poppykit walked to Whitestar.
Dapplekit walked to Leafpelt.
Lightkit walked to Whitestar.

Leafpelt smiled and licked Dapplekit and Spiderkit on the heads. "Where did you get these kits again?" She asked.

"I er, found them." Mousewhisker replied. "By twoleg place."

"'Found' you say?" She asked, unconvinced.

Honeykit still had no idea what they were talking about. 'This is all very confusing.' She thought.

"Yes, what of it?" Mousewhisker hissed.

"Oh nothing. Stammering wont convince anybody though." She whispered quietly.

Honeykit tipped her head. "All this talk is making me sleepy." She mewed.

Flowerpaw brought Honeykit into the nursery.

"Thank you Flowerpaw." Honeykit mewed, yawning once more.

Flowerpaw nodded "Of course" she said, lying down.

Before long, Honeykit was asleep.

Leafpelt purred. "Flowerpaw is so nice. It would be good for Honeykit from what I have heard." She commented.

Flowerpaw curled her tail around the young kit and fell asleep.

Leafpelt suddenly felt tired. "I am going to sleep. Wake me if anyone needs anything." She mewed, walking towards the Medicine Cat's den.

When Flowerpaw awoke once more, she swiftly got up, careful not to awake Honeykit, she went to get a mouce from the fresh-kill pile, Flowerpaw then lied down on her back and looked at the stars.

Nightpaw arose from his sleep to see his rusty pelted sister look up to the shining silver stars above, he smiled, his green eyes glowed.

WhiteStar slept soundly, dreaming of her kits.

Honeykit twitched in her sleep. She let out a low growl and kept flicking her ears.

Leafpelt didnt stirr. She stayed perfectly still, just barely having a rise and fall of her chest.

Flowerpaw felt a pain in her chest, not a good feeling, she ran softly into the medicine cats den, she shook her mentor "Leafpelt?" she asked, worried.

NightPaw fell back asleep in the Apprentice's Den.

WhiteStar slept soundly.

Leafpelt looked up, instantly alert. "I wasnt sleeping, I was just... resting my eyes." She mewed, licking her paw drawsily and swiping it over her face. "What is it Flowerpaw?" She asked, a kind tone in her voice.

Honeykit twitched her tail in her sleep angrily, as if she was facing her old leader defiantly.

"You just, didn't seem like you were Okay." Flowerpaw responded.
