Another New Begining

Leafpelt purred. "See? What did I tell you? Tell me if you need anything." She mewed, walking out with the herbs she brought except for some poppy seeds.

WhiteStar breathed in heavily "I wish Blazeshadow was here" She whispered to her little kits.

Nightkit snuggled up to his mother.

Flowerkit snuggled up to her leaf bed.

Leafpelt brought Whitestar a large chaffinch. "Here. You need your strength to return." She mewed, dropping it next to her.

WhiteStar nodded "Thank you Leafpelt" she purred as her kits played with Leafpelt's tail.

Nightkit smiled as he and his sister caught her tail.

Leafpelt flicked her tail around. She stared down at the kits and realised if the chosen cats didnt find a good home soon, these kits, their mother, and all the Clans would die. The horror died from her eyes and she began purring once more.

Flowerkit purred and snuggled up to Leafpelt.

Leafpelt smiled and flicked the kit behind her ear with her tail. "Its good to see kits in the Clan again." She mewed to Whitestar.

Nightkit looked at her with a giant smile.

WhiteStar smiled "It really is" she mewed.

Leafpelt looked down at Nightkit. "That kit is very.... Interesting." She mewed, tipping her head and studying the kit carefully. She nodded approvingly. "He will be a great cat when he grows up." She said, turning to Flowerkit.

Nightkit smiled at her sister, knowing she wished to be a medicine cat.

Flowerkit grinned with a purr.

Leafpelt gently brushed her tail down Flowerkit. "Sleek and soft like her mother's fur." She purred, coming up close and sniffing the little kit. "She has a sweet, comforting scent to her too." She mewed, sniffing Nightkit. "Whereas he, he has a scent that tells others; 'mess with me, and ill rip you to shreds.'" Leafpelt mewed, letting out a mrrow of laughter.

Flowerkit prodded her brother, with a smile.

Nightkit grinned like a newly named apprentice.

Leafpelt stared each kit in the eyes. "Now, what do you wish to be when you grow up?" She asked.

Nightkit immediately answered "A warrior!" he said, getting into a crouch.

Flowerkit on the other hand, though about her answer "A medicine cat." she said, giving her future mentor a smile.

Leafpelt purred and crouched in front of the kit. "Very well. The path of a Medicine cat is that of great destiny. She must know all the poisons and all the herbs, what each herb does, and must love everyone, no matter what Clan they are from, and remain loyal to her own Clan." She mewed, sweeping the poppy seeds over towards them with her tail. "Quickly! Is this Foxglove, or Poppyseeds?" She asked, her brown eyes gentle.

"Poppy Seed" Flowerkit answered quickly.

Leafpelt purred. "Very good. Foxglove are orange and have brown stripes. Remember that. They are very poisonus, which is why Medicine cats rarely have them." She mewed, turning towards Nightkit. She got into a bird-stalking crouch and moved stealthily forward. "Now, what crouch is this good for? Hunting mice, birds, or rabbits?" She asked.

Nightkit studied a bit, for about 2 seconds and then said "Birds"

Leafpelt smiled. "Great job! You two deserve a mouse." She mewed, dashing out and coming back with a mouse and some honey.

Nightkit and Flowerkit dug into their mouses.

Leafpelt purred and left the honey there. "The honey is for a treat after they do something Whitestar. Dont let them have too much." She mewed. "I am off to hunt." She said, walking out of the camp.

WhiteStar nodded "Come on, have some honey, but not too much" she purred.

MoonEye was out hunting.

GrayNight was still sleeping.

Nightkit nodded and licked up some honey.

Flowerkit sniffed it and lapped some up.

Leafpelt killed a mouse, a vole and a bird. She sniffed each carefully and took a small bite out of them (very small) to make sure they werent poisoned. The mouse and vole were unusually fat, which worried Leafpelt. The bird was also unusually fat, but most birds were. She brought home some yarrow and her three pieces of fresh-kill and immediatly went back out.

MoonEye was catching fish.

Leafpelt began to hunt for fish like Mooneye, hoping that they wouldnt be poisoned.
