Another New Begining

MoonEye came back with 20 fish all in her mouth.

(gawd thats alot -le gasp-)

Leafpelt came back with twelve fish and dropped them in the fresh-kill pile. She sat down. Her fur was wet. "I am soo glad it isnt as cold here as it is in WarClan." She mewed.

"I feel bad for them" MoonEye said, dropping the fish in the fresh-kill pile.

"Maybe they have thicker coats." Leafpelt mewed, wishing she had one right now. "But then again, in greenleaf it would be horrible." She said, washing her paws.

"Some of them do" Mooneye said "and they live right by the IceCaps, so..."

Leafpelt nodded. "Augh I feel exhausted. Is anyone sick?" She asked, cleaning her face now.

Nightkit and Flowerkit shook their heads

"Good." She purred, taking a bird and walking to her den.

(Aging them 6 moons)

Nightkit and Flowerkit were playing, waiting for their apprenticeship.

WhiteStar yowled at the top of high stump.

Leafpelt walked over to the stump and sat down.

WhiteStar spoke " Nightkit please step up. This is a proud day for IceClan by naming apprentices we show IceClan will survive and remain strong. Nightkit, from now on until you receive your warrior name you will be known as Nightpaw.
I will mentor you myself" She touched noses with her son.

Then, she spoke once more "LeafPelt, will you preform the ceremony?" she asked


(Here it is: Medicine Cat: Cats of ( the clan ) as you know I will not be around forever. So it's time I took an apprentice. I have chosen a cat ( whatever reason you you like that apprentice or think she/he will be a good medicine cat. ) Your next medicine cat will be ( apprentices name )

Leader: ( apprentice's name ), do you accept the post of apprentice to ( medicine cat's name )?

Apprentice: Yes, ( leader's name )

Medicine Cat: Then at the half-moon you must travel to Mothermouth, to be accepted by StarClan before the other medicine cats.

Leader: The good wishes of all ( clan name ) will go with you.

Medicine Cat: ( touches noses with his/her new apprentice )

Leafpelt nodded. "Cats of IceClan, as you know I will not be around forever, and its time for me to take on an apprentice. I have chosen this cat because she is willing to listen and great at remembering things. Your next Medicine cat will be Flowerpaw." She mewed strongly, her eyes looking down at the kit.

WhiteStar smiled "Flowerpaw, do you accept the post of apprentice to LeafPelt?"

FlowerPaw smiled "I do, WhiteStar" she said happily.

(Now you say: Then at the half-moon you must travel to Mothermouth, to be accepted by StarClan before the other medicine cats.)

Leafpelt purred. "Then at the Halfmoon you must travel to Mothermouth, to be accepted by StarClan before the other medicine cats." She mewed, hopping down to stand in front of her apprentice.

Flowerpaw purred and touched noses with her mentor. Good thing, it was one day from the half moon.

Leafpelt smiled and licked Flowerpaw behind the ear. "You will do great." She whispered.

"But what about all the other Medicine cats? What will they think of me?" Flowerpaw asked.

Leafpelt felt a mrrow of laughter rise in her throat. "This cat is more like me than I could have ever imagined!" She purred. "They will think you are a great cat. I used to ask myself the same question." She mewed.

Flowerpaw meowed with a laugh and said "Well, half moon is tommarrow"

_THE NEXT DAY_

Leafpelt yawned and got up. She stretched her legs with a purr and fluffed out her fur. "Oh that rest was nice." She mewed.

Flowerpaw jumped up and down "Are we going today?" she asked exsitedly.

An idea popped into Leafpelt's mind. "Nah, were going to wait for a few years." She purred, prodding Flowerpaw with a paw. "Of course were going today. Now, follow me. We need to eat herbs instead of fresh-kill." She mewed, stalking towards her cave.

Flowerpaw smiled brightly and got some herbs.

Leafpelt gulped down her bitter traveling herbs and gave some to Flowerpaw. "These will keep your strength." She mewed.

Flowerpaw nodded and bit down in what Leafpelt gave her.
