The New Era.

Lynxeye nodded slowly. "Thank you, Rainshadow. Tell me if you have any more signs from StarClan." He said. "Or tell Ragestar." He added nervously.

RageStar was behind Lynxeye "I would prefer you come to me first." she meowed softly, but authority in her voice.

Lynxeye nodded his agreement with Ragestar and bowed his head. "I am off to get some sleep." He meowed. "I will be under that clump of bracken if you need me." He said, poiting with his tail towards the brown, shriveling plant. He walked over and flattened it out, falling asleep quickly.

RageStar nodded a friendly goodnight to Lynxeye.

Hawkwing flicked his ears and stood up as Honeypaw dashed out of the bushes, her fur on end and clumped with blood. Her normally calm eyes were wild, both with excitement and fear. "Rats!" She spat loudly.

Lynxeye was instantly at his feet, his ears pricked. "Where?" He asked the apprentice, his voice tense.

"Oh I dunno... Just right that way, thistledown brain!" Honeypaw growled, turning around and dashing back.

Hawkwing and Lynxeye exchanged a glance and followed.

Feathertail obidiently followed Stormcloud and Leafpelt. "We will call if we need help! Gather the burdock root!" Leafpelt yowled over her shoulder, yelling out the best herb for infected rat bites.

Flowerpaw nodded and grabbed all that she could.

RageStar growled and struck a rat with her claws.

Honeypaw's fur was clumped in blood by the time they reached the place where the rats were. Her skin around the bites she had was angry red and puffy, but she did not show any fear as a wave of rats crashed down on her, chattering loudly. She clawed confidently at their eyes, making them squeal and dash away.

Hawkwing had already killed four rats when another wave crashed down on him.

Leafpelt confidently killed one rat after another, her dappled coat easily hiding the blood the rats spattered all over her.

Lynxeye wrestled confidently with rat after rat.

Stormcloud and Feathertail spat at rats side by side. Stormcloud kicked a rat in it's jaws and watched as it flew across the clearing.

Juniperkit squealed as a rat bit her in the tail from behind. "Mama!" She yowled, begining to be dragged away. When Fallenleaf didnt wake up, she turned around with unsheathed claws and played the rat's skull like a drum.

WarFeather grabbed the rat that had attacked Juniperkit and threw it across the territory, picking Juniperkit up, she ran to the nursery "Stay here!" she growled at the kit.

Jupiternose sat beside Juniperkit. "I will protect you." She purred, standing up and hissing at a rat and flaying its fur.

Sky appeared and yowled like a lion's roar, making the rats scamper away. Her golden eyes were now red, her black and white dappled coat was covered in blood "Clan cats, we have been generous to you, but now, you must find your own territory" she yowled.

Onepaw flattened his ears. He would have hoped he was able to stay with them longer.

Fallenleaf got up and treated the rat bites also. She gently treated Juniperkit and let Jupiternose pick her up by the scruff.

Ravenstar nodded. "We are sorry for this trouble we have caused." He meowed to Sun, dipping his head in farewell and leading his Clan confidently away.

Feathertail, Stormcloud, Fallenleaf, Jupiternose, Onepaw, Jaypaw, Dewleaf and Tawnypaw followed their leader. Juniperkit was being held by Jupiternose.

Sun smiled and bowed his head "We are just pushing a new clan along to victory" he meowed, nodding to Sky approvingly.

Sky watched with tears trying to escape her eyes as the clans moved away.

Ravenstar flicked his tail in farewell as his Clan padded away, Fallenleaf confidently treating rat bites as they left.

Jupiternose hurried back towards WarClan. "I forgot which Clan I belonged in." She meowed, her ears flattened in embarassment.

Onepaw looked back at Sky and mouthed the words; "Farewell, dear Skypaw." As he disappeared in the undergrowth.

Sky nodded to Onepaw and mouthed the words "Goodbye my friend" and left for her own territory.

RageStar lead her clan away.

Jupiternose followed Ragestar behind Hawkwing and Lynxeye.

Honeypaw, Leafpelt, Snow, Bramble and Gempaw headed for IceClan's new territory.
