Winds of Change

(The other kit was Rainkit, right?)


Leafpelt staggered to her paws and slowly walked out of the den.

Honeypalm looked up drowsily and grabbed a squirrel for Snow and a rabbit for herself and padded towards the nursery, nodding approvingly at Leafpelt.

Spiderweb sighed, he layed down by a log and rested.
A Cougar walked into the clearing. His eyes calmly observed the cats.

Honeypalm jerked her head and her fur began to rise, though she was frozen in the spot.

The cougar sniffed around.
Spiderweb snarled and leaped in front of the Cougar.
The cougar jerked his head back as Spiderweb tryed to claw his face. "Hey, hey, knock it off wise guy." He flicked his tail.
Spiderweb snarled in surprise. "You speak cat?"
The cougar smiled. "Well, Cats and Cougars ARE related." He laughed. "My name is Shadow."
Spiderweb looked at Shadow.

Honeypalm lashed her tail in disbelief.

Shadow flicked his tail.
Spiderweb looked at Shadow.

Honeypalm slowly walked forward towards the cougar.

Shadow looked at the approching cat. He sat down and watched her.

Honeypalm curiously sniffed Shadow's paw and twitched her nose, backing up a bit.

Shadow watched the cat calmly, not moving.

Leafpelt's eyes widened in disbelief. "Honeypalm dont!" She yowled, staggering forward.

Tallkit watched, amused.

Shadow watched the new cat. His eyes flickered with amusement. "I'm not going to kill anyone, what would I gain from it?"

"All predators kill." Leafpelt meowed, her eyes darkening from experience.

Shadow blinked. "Well then, I might as well be a rabbit because the only things I kill are fish and birds."

Leafpelt nodded slowly. "Alright..." She meowed.

"Theres no reason to not trust me." Shadow looked away, his hazel eyes calmly settled on a sparrow, he got up and leaped.

Tallkit watched, his eyes wide with astonishment.

Shadow pushed the sparrow to Leafpelt. "See?" He smiled then layed down.

Flowerspirit calmly watched the cougar, she walked up to him, studying his body shape.

Stonepelt stared at Shadow.

Shadow flicked his large tail.
Spiderweb blinked.

Stonekit ran up to Shadow and snuggled into his soft fur with a purr.

Shadow let out a monster purr.
Spiderweb flinched at the loud purr.

"Youre soft" Stonekit mewed, snuggiling into Shadow.

Shadow purred. "Thanks." He smiled.

Leafpelt shook her head. "Im not hungry, but thanks anyways." She meowed.
